Description
Project Background and Challenges
The refrigeration plant was approaching 20 years of service life, showing significant signs of failure including persistent system leaks and major component degradation. EcoTech stepped in to deliver a focused and effective upgrade after previous attempts to resolve the issues were unsuccessful.
Scope of Works
Key works included the replacement of a failed compressor within the rack, the strategic installation of new isolation points to streamline future maintenance, the replacement of an outdated low-temperature remote condenser on the rooftop, and a full control system upgrade to enhance operational oversight and reliability.
Operational Execution
Maintaining store operations was critical. EcoTech carefully staged the works to ensure the refrigeration system remained fully operational throughout the project. The remote condenser replacement was completed during night works to avoid any trading disruption, delivering a seamless outcome for the client.
Outcome
The refrigeration upgrade not only restored system integrity and performance but also positioned the store for future maintenance efficiency — all delivered within a compressed timeframe to meet urgent client expectations.
